ESG Commitment
As a responsible logistics industry leader, DHL has always been at the forefront of addressing climate change. DHL Group was the world's first logistics company to propose a net zero target for all logistics-related CO₂e emissions by 2050. In 2021, the Group released a new sustainability roadmap, planning to reduce the group’s annual CO₂e emissions from 39 million tons in 2021 to below 29 million tons by 2030. To this end, the group will invest 7 billion Euros before 2030 in developing climate-neutral logistics and reducing CO₂e emissions. The vast majority of the investment will be in SAF (Sustainable Aviation Fuels). Other areas for investment include Bio-LNG in line-hauls, last-mile fleet electrification, Sustainable Marine Fuels and carbon neutral buildings.

The company employs nearly 8,000 employees and has a presence across 390 cities. In 1998, DHL Global Forwarding (China) Co. Ltd was established in Shanghai. With more than 3,000 employees in 54 cities across the country and over 100,000 square meters of logistics warehouses, it provides comprehensive international logistics services to domestic and foreign high-end customers by sea, land, and air. Additionally, DHL Group has extensive cooperation with leading domestic logistics, manufacturing, and trade enterprises in e-commerce and warehousing operations.
