There have been many improvements in including people with dis- abilities into the work force that drives China’s development. But there are still many difficulties in inclusion, especially after COVID-19. In order to promote the employment of people with disabilities and improve their career development, Volkswagen Automatic Transmission Tianjin (VWATJ) initiated their “Work 2 Work Caring and Development Program”. Work2Work (W2W) is a long-standing program carried out by Volkswagen worldwide to create opportu- nities for employees with performance impairments. In China, the company held a variety of activities including their “Nice Having You’ Disability Day Event on 19th May 2020. In addition, the company launched a Sign Language Tutorial program and their W2W Intern- ship program. VWATJ plans to improve the W2W program with tailor made training and qualifications, their W2W star appraisal to ac- knowledge the contributions of the program’s employees, and joint events with other companies and government organizations.
