HR Development and Engagement:
Every year, HR organizes various departments to conduct employee development interviews, formulate development plans for employees in the coming year, and organize annual talent inventory, identifying high-potential employees and key employees, and formulating retention plans. Designate successors for manager positions and develop successor training plans. Implement a 100-day training mechanism for new managers.
In order to better balance work and life, and give employees more trust, the company implements flexible working system and home office policy for white collars.

Diversity, Equity and Inclusion:
Since 2016, our company organizes a 6-week summer camp for left-behind children every summer (except the epidemic period from 2020 to 2022). We focus on left-behind children and give them a chance to reunite with their parents during the summer vacation. The summer camp is rich and colorful, including dancing, painting, pottery, swimming, cake making, urban exploration and so on. Based on the good social response of the event, in 2019, our company was awarded the More Than a Market Award in the "Medium-sized Enterprise" category by the German Chamber of Commerce in Shanghai.
E.G.O. China has been committed to creating a diverse, fair and inclusive work environment. Supply Chain:
GLOBAL SUPPLY CHAINS–GLOBAL RESPONSIBILITY
We build a transparent, collaborative and sustainable global supply chain.
The BLANC & FISCHER-Group had already turned its attentions to the supply chain at an early stage and established an appropriate framework for it. For example, with a Code of Conduct for suppliers or the "supplier onboarding" process, which, in addition to sustainability, also considers aspects such as certifications, quality, logistics, and costs.
The "Supply Chain Compliance Management System" was established for a comprehensive risk analysis to look both internally and externally. In additional to supplier specific risks, product- and country-related risks were also considered. Depending on the risk assessment, these may include extensive reporting obligations, on-site audits, or qualified self-assessments by the suppliers.
The further development of the whistleblower system was initially set up for compliance cases, now also makes it possible to point out human rights and environmental risks confidentially and anonymously as well as any breaches of duty in the supply chain of the BLANC & FISCHER Family Holding or in the business groups.
Sustainability in the supply chain is an important aspect for the BLANC & FISCHER Family Holding and its business groups. In accordance with GRI guidelines 308 and 414, it therefore checks and assesses its suppliers based on environmental and social criteria. The checking and evaluation process for existing suppliers began in 2021 and was extended to new suppliers in the reporting year. One relevant selection criterion for supplier checking is the amount of purchasing volume, applying the Pareto principle, which states that 80 % of the result can be achieved with 20 % of the total effort.
For the critical electronic components, EGO would build up strategy stock as a safety to avoid production interruption and ensure customer order on time delivery.
Community Engagement:
Sino-German Inclusion Factory (disabled factory) was established in 2014. Our company as one of their first supporting enterprises, has been providing order support, so that those employees with physical defects can rely on their own hands to participate in production, so as to realize their own value. Since 2015, the order support amount given by our company is close to 3 million yuan, creating 6 to 8 jobs for them every year. In 2020, the factory awarded our company Long-term Support Award.
In 2021, our company supported the "Million Trees" project of Shanghai Roots & Shoots Organization, planting 2,000 poplar trees, eucalyptus trees and Scottish pines in Tongliao, Inner Mongolia. These trees are particularly effective in slowing desertification and reducing the effects of sandstorms.
Based on our outstanding performance in public welfare activities over the years, we won the Most Socially Responsible Employer Award in Greater Suzhou in 2022.

E.G.O. China lives by the Blanc & Fischer Group's values and our business is based on strict ethical standards. Furthermore, we have a clear governance structure formed in accordance with local laws, including shareholders, director board, supervisor, and local management team, which allows us to expressly prohibit any illegal or unethical conduct in the conduct of our business. On top of that, a professional compliance management system is in place to achieve this goal.
Compliance is a pivotal part of our corporate strategy. An open culture has been created to ensure that the compliance culture is implemented at all levels of the enterprise. Annal compliance trainings are conducted accordingly to enhance the success of preventing corruption and bribery.
E.G.O. China advocates the principles of the Blanc & Fischer Code of Conduct and has established a set of compliance principles. Plus, we comply with the guidelines issued by our parent company, in particular the Blanc & Fischer Ethical Principle of Conduct, Compliance Guideline and Code of Conduct for Suppliers, in which many key points have been emphasized and articulated (Antitrust Guideline, Anti-Bribery and Anti-Corruption Guideline ad conflict of interest etc.)
Innovation Sustainability:
The E.G.O. Group as well as E.G.O. China conducts Life Cycle Assessments (LCA) for key products. This means that we analyze processes and materials along the entire life cycle of the product, including raw material extraction, manufacturing, transportation, product use phase and end-of-life, and identify the environmental impacts like global warming potential, resource depletion potential etc. The results of LCAs are a good starting point for future product development to see where the main environmental impacts over the life cycle occur and what the main levers for improvement are.
Circular Economy plays an important role for innovation and product development at E.G.O. We aim at designing products that enable a closed-loop economy.
