“E.G.G Walkathon” is a meaningful charity initiative launched by Shanghai United Foundation in 2011, dedicated to supporting and advocating for children's welfare through a remarkable 12-hour, 50-kilometre fundraising walk. By harnessing the expertise of professional social workers, we extend a helping hand to a diverse range of children in need, encompassing those with parents incarcerated, hailing from drug-affected backgrounds, left in remote rural areas, victims of abuse, or those who have been de facto abandoned, thereby ensuring the protection of their fundamental rights and fostering their well-rounded development. In the year 2023, our primary focus for the event lies in the realm of child protection, with a special emphasis on children facing adversity in central and western China, often left behind due to insufficient family guardianship. 

Participating in large-scale philanthropic endeavors stands as an exemplary embodiment of corporate social responsibility and commitment to the sustainable development goals. This marks Balluff's third consecutive year of active involvement in the “ E.G.G Walkathon” , scheduled on May 13th ,2023, in Shanghai Pudong District. With the enthusiastic participation of 30 dedicated employees, this 50-kilometre journey aspires to contribute meaningfully to the wholesome and equitable development of underprivileged children. The event successfully garnered RMB 10,830, with an additional generous donation of RMB 19,170, bringing the total contribution to RMB 30,000.
