Project Name: Covestro Cup -“I Speak I Act I Impact”Student Orator and Illustrator Contest

In 2022 and 2023, Covestro cooperated with the World Organization for Sustainability Leadership （WOSL）for its China sector "I speak, I act, I impact" student orator and illustrator contest, focusing on the theme of Quality Education, the fourth goal of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs) in 2022 and Climate Action, the thirteenth goal of the UN SDGs. Both were open to students from primary schools, secondary schools and universities across the country, aiming to inspire young people to express their vision of sustainable development through drawing and speeches either in Chinese or English. The artworks of the winners were also promoted via different channels, e.g., offline events, social media posts , internal and external exhibitions, and were made  into a variety of branded gifts, e.g., Covestro’s yearly notebook, etc.

Covestro signed a strategic cooperation agreement with WOSL at Covestro’s booth at the fifth China International Import Expo in 2022, and will showcase the selected paintings in its booth at the sixth China International Import Expo that is to be held in November 2023. Sustainability is a crucial tenet of Covestro’s strategy. Covestro is committed to helping achieve the UN SDGs and making the world a brighter place through innovative sustainable material solutions.

Together with WOSL and through different approaches, Covestro can improve the awareness of young generations, and even that of all humankind in looking for more equitable and inclusive education, strengthening their sense of purpose and responsibility for taking actions in dealing with climate change, as well as inspiring them to create a sustainable future together.
